Does anyone here play the Yugioh trading card game in real life? (besides the video games)

I've been collecting cards and I wish I could duel but I don't know anyone else in RL that likes Yugioh. I would have to take 2 busses to get to the closest place I know of that has official tournaments.

There is a place I could get to that I know does Magic the Gathering stuff so maybe they do Yugioh too but even if they do I don't really want to play against kids. I'd want to play against people around my own age (28) or at least old enough to have reached puberty.

I wish I could afford to go to a convention.

No xena,

I don't play that trading card game. As a matter of fact, I know nothing about Yogioh.

However, I was at Best Buy the other day and saw a Play Station game about that. Is it any good ?

I have the PS2 game Duelist of the Roses and I like that one. That one is a lot different from the RL trading card game. It has a 7x7 board where you move your cards around. That is a big change.

I didn't like Forbidden Memories for the PS1 much. I thought it was too hard. When you lose a duel in that one you get a game over. In the other one it's no big deal. This one is more similar to the real card game in that you can't move your cards aound and can only place them in the monster zone and magic and trap zone. It still doesn't follow all of the rules of the real game.

Sounds like that "The Fellowship Of The Ring" game for PS2 (which I picked up on sale).

I went out and completed the time consuming tasks, then got caught by a black rider at night and it was game over. Now I got to start it all over.

I think any Yugioh game is way easier than Fellowship of the Ring. I have that game and I never managed to get past the Ringwraiths. I don't play that game any more. The way the screen moves in that game and certain other games gives me motion sickness so I don't like to play it a lot.

In the Yugioh games if you are having problems you can use passwords to get stronger cards. You don't even need a Gameshark. In Forbidden Memories you can get the passwords off of the real life cards or the internet and you hve to pay for them with starchips you earn in the game. In Duelists of the Roses you can put the passwords in and get the cards for free.
